Germany,-based compressors and vacuum pumps producer CVS engineering’s tailor-made vacuum pumps and compressors ensure reliability in demanding applications, enabling operators in the waste disposal and cleaning industry to handle contaminated materials efficiently and safely.

CVS engineering's vacuum pumps and compressors are deployed across a range of specialist tasks including suction and flushing vehicles as well as handling the suction and pumping of diverse materials such as sludge, liquids, deposits, and industrial residues.

The systems are equally suited to emptying tanks, containers and plant components in industrial settings and during routine maintenance operations, among others. They also support sewer and infrastructure cleaning through efficiently suctioning out of dirt, sediments and blockages.

CVS engineering GmbH area sales and marketing manager Fabio Geiger notes that extracted materials are transported in hermetically sealed stainless steel or aluminium containers. Depending on the application, the tanks can be operated under vacuum or pressure to ensure the safe handling of hazardous and sensitive liquids.

Certain suction and flushing vehicles integrate both vacuum and compressor technologies, offering multifunctional solutions by integrating vacuum technology with high-pressure technology.

These special applications enable thorough cleaning and effective removal of blockages in pipes, tanks and sewage systems while their dual functionality allows for simultaneous or alternating use, delivering greater operational flexibility.

For users, this results in lower operating costs, a smaller vehicle fleet and reduced personnel expenditure.

Among its range, CVS puts forward its water-cooled VacuStar W rotary vane vacuum pump as being well-suited for these purposes.

Built for high-performance suction and flushing vehicles, the W rotary vane vacuum pump is engineered to excel under the most demanding conditions, delivering high vacuum performance and consistent operational reliability, says CVS.

The flagship VacuStar range also includes the WR 2500, WR 3100 and WR 4000 liquid ring vacuum pumps which are designed for heavy suction vehicles and flushing trucks with throughputs of up to 4 063 m³/h.

Meanwhile, the compact, lightweight VacuStar WR 800 and WR 1600 serve as ideal entry-level models in the WR series. Developed for water recycling systems and aquaculture applications, such as CO2 degassing and fish handling, the models are well-suited to applications that require consistent vacuum and pressure performance.

For waste collection, separator emptying and sewer cleaning, CVS offers its robust, air-cooled VacuStar L400, which is designed for compact vehicles with tank volumes of up to 5 m³. Owing to its efficient design and versatile drive options, the L400 is well-suited to municipal, industrial and environmental applications.

Meanwhile, the air-cooled VacuStar L400 compressor variant, offering a delivery rate of up to 345 m³/h, is a compact, energy-efficient rotary vane compressor that meets the high demands of smaller suction vehicles that require reliability and power. Areas of application include waste collection, the emptying of sludge and grease separators, and smaller-scale sewer cleaning work.
